Week 5

Last week, we started a new Kete topic called "Discover the world." We went on a padlet and left 3 notes explaining what we already knew about the topic.

For reading we had to read four different texts and answer ten questions for each to show that we had read the story, and for writing we finished writing a description about a picture of an orangutan, we wrote a paragraph, read our partners, and gave them feedback on how to improve.

For art we have been learning how to draw bodies by learning about the history of DC comics and drawing DC heroes (or villains) to help us with proportion. Last week we turned our heroes into Maori heroes.

In Maori we are learning how to say who we are, what are family names are and whether we are a man or woman by getting into groups of five and six and saying our names, family names and gender in English then in Maori.
