Bread Case Practical Review
Knife safety:
Walk with the sharp side/end facing down towards the ground,
run while holding knives and be sensible. You also shouldn't crowd
around the area where knives are kept, it could cause an accident.
Wash clothes:
In our Home Economics class, we use hand towels, tea towels and dish
clothes. The hand towels for drying hands, tea towels for drying dishes
and dish clothes for washing the kitchen benches and the table. We leave
these clothes out until we've finished the practical and we've made sure
we clean the benches and dishes properly.
Food scrap containers:
In each corner of the benches, there is an old (but clean) ice cream
container. It is used for holding food scraps (carrot peels, potato peels,
bread crust, crumbs, leftover ingredients and more).
Recycling and Rubbish:
There are two small bins at the front of the kitchen we use for Home
Economics. One small one which is used for recyclable materials,
and a taller one used for rubbish (including food scraps).
